1. These terms
These Terms form an agreement between you and Manicod, who operates BigiBigi ("BigiBigi", "we"). By creating an account or using the app or this website, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What BigiBigi is — and is not
BigiBigi is a platform that connects private individuals travelling in the same direction so they can share a journey and its costs. We are not a transport operator, taxi service, courier or travel agency. We do not own vehicles, employ drivers, or carry passengers.
The journey itself is an arrangement between the rider and the passengers. Riders must not use the platform to offer commercial transport, and must not seek to profit from a trip beyond a contribution to its costs.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. One account per person. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date, and you are responsible for everything done through your account.
Access is secured by a one-time password sent to your registered mobile number. Keep your device and number secure, and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Verification
Some features require you to verify your identity with a government-issued document and a selfie capture, and riders must register vehicle details before publishing. Verification status is displayed on your profile, including where a check has not been completed.
Verification is a check on the information provided to us. It is not a guarantee of any member's character, conduct or driving, and it does not remove your own responsibility to use judgement about who you travel with.
5. If you publish a ride
- Hold a valid driving licence and be legally entitled to drive the vehicle
- Keep the vehicle roadworthy, taxed and insured, with cover that permits carrying passengers on a cost-sharing basis
- Publish only journeys you genuinely intend to make, with accurate route, stopovers, timings and seat count
- Take only the number of passengers the vehicle is legally permitted to carry
- Turn up on time, or cancel promptly and honestly if you cannot
- Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and obey all traffic law
6. If you book a seat
- Book only for yourself and any passengers you have declared
- Be at the agreed pickup point on time
- Wear a seatbelt and follow the rider's reasonable requests about the vehicle
- Respect the rider's stated preferences on smoking, pets, music and luggage
- Pay the agreed contribution for your seat
7. Cost sharing and payment
Riders set a contribution per seat when publishing a ride. That contribution is intended to cover a share of the journey's costs — fuel, tolls and wear — and not to generate profit. Passengers see the amount payable before confirming a booking.
Passengers pay their contribution directly to the rider — for example in cash or by UPI — as agreed between them. BigiBigi does not collect, hold or transfer seat payments, and is not responsible for a payment that is not made.
Riders pay BigiBigi a platform fee for each completed ride. The fee that applies is shown in the app, and it falls due when the ride is completed. It is paid in the app through Razorpay, and a receipt is issued for each payment. A rider with an unpaid fee cannot publish a new ride until it is settled.
Any coupon or promotional discount is subject to its own conditions and may be withdrawn at any time.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Riders and passengers can cancel through the app, giving a reason. Everyone affected is notified. Repeated late cancellation harms other members and may lead to restrictions on your account.
Because seat payments are made directly between members, BigiBigi does not issue refunds for them; any money already exchanged for a cancelled ride is a matter between the rider and the passenger. BigiBigi does not charge a fee for cancelling. A platform fee is only due for a ride that is completed.
9. Women-only seats
Riders may mark seats or an entire trip as available to women passengers only. Booking such a seat when it does not apply to you is a breach of these Terms and may result in the booking being cancelled and your account suspended.
10. Conduct and content
Treat other members with respect. You must not harass, threaten, discriminate against or endanger anyone, impersonate another person, use the platform for any unlawful purpose, transport prohibited goods, or attempt to move a booking off the platform to avoid its protections.
You are responsible for what you post — profile text, photos, reviews and messages. Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.
11. Reports, investigation and suspension
Members can report a ride or another member from the ride screen. We review reports and may contact the people involved, restrict features, cancel bookings, or suspend or close an account where these Terms have been breached or where safety requires it. Serious matters may be referred to the authorities.
12. Our role and limits of liability
We provide the platform. We are not a party to the arrangement between a rider and a passenger, and we do not supervise journeys. We do not guarantee that a ride will take place, that a member will behave as expected, or that the information a member provides is accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss, injury or damage arising from a journey, from the conduct of any member, or from your inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Intellectual property
The BigiBigi name, logo, app and website, and everything in them, belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service for its intended purpose only. By posting content you grant us a licence to host and display it as part of running the platform.
14. Changes and termination
We may change these Terms as the service develops. Material changes are notified in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use BigiBigi afterwards means you accept them. You may close your account at any time; we may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.
